(TAT is the interval starting when a specimen and order are received in the laboratory and ends with release of the test result.) In some cases, additional time should be allowed for additional confirmatory or additional reflex tests. Testing schedules may vary. In the event that reflex testing is performed TAT turnaround times can be extended.

SPECIMEN PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
- This test requires 2 different aliquots.
- Aliquot 10.0 mL (minimum 4.0) into a urinalysis transfer tube or urine conical tube. Label with the child CID label for UAC. Deliver to appropriate urinalysis testing site/department.
- Aliquot 5.0 mL (minimum 4.0) into a Urine Transfer Tube (gray top) or Urine Transfer Tube (yellow top). Label with the child CID label for CPOS. Send to Core Microbiology.
